Calling all Chaparral Youth Wrestlers
Thursday, January 26, 2012 is ”Youth Night” for our Chaparral Youth Wrestling program at Chaparral High school. Our Chaparral high school team will be dualing against Regis high school. JV starting at 5:30pm. Varsity starting at 7pm. Please come show your support for our high school wrestlers by wearing your lime green team shirt and navy blue shorts. Our youth wrestlers will get to run out from the wolverine blow up, warm up, pair up and wrestle on the mat before our Chaparral high school varsity team duals against Regis. Wrestlers, please check in with coach Cortez when you arrive. Hope to see you all there!

The dual at Cherokee Trail has been changed to Wednesday, January 25 because the high school extended their freshmen orientation another day.  The start time is still the same, 6pm-7:30pm.  We will have practice tonight from 6pm-7:30pm.  On Wednesday, January 25 we will not hold a practice.  If you have any questions or concerns about this change please contact coach Cortez.

The Clifford Haynes Memorial tournament is this Sunday, January 29th at Alameda High School and is for both novice and experienced wrestlers.  This is the WSWL league championship tournament.  Satellite weigh-ins will be held at Chaparral High School on Saturday from 8-10AM.  Click here for more information in the tournament flyer.

Congratulations to our wrestlers that attended the Tulsa Nationals.  There was a lot of great wrestling and hard fought battles and great times were had by all.  More photos to be posted next week.

Reminder…Picture day is Monday, January 23rd during our novice practice time at Chaparral High School.  Please arrive early so we can start as soon as possible.  For parents who would like to order additional pictures, beyond the standard individual and team photo provided with your club fee, please see the attached order form.   Please send your wrestler in club T-shirt and Shorts for the team photo. Individual shots can be taken in t-shirt/shorts or singlet, which ever you prefer.

There will be no practice tonight due to our Chaparral high school wrestlers hosting a dual at Chaparral against Rock Canyon High School. This would be a great night for our youth wrestlers to check out our awesome high school team. Every match tonight is sure to be very exciting!  JV will start at 6:00pm and our Varsity team will start at 7:00pm. Make sure to wear your Chaparral shirt and cheer on our Chaparral high school wrestlers.
