No Practice Monday 2/20

On Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 there will be NO practice, as the Douglas County school district observes Presidents Day and there is no school. We will continue practice on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 from 6pm-7:30pm. The practice schedule for this week is as follows:

Tuesday, February, 21, 2012 from 6pm-7:30pm

Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 6pm-7:30pm

If you would like to practice on Thursday, February 23, 2012, please let coach Cortez know, as he would be willing to run practice, in preparation for the Youth Allstate Tournament this weekend.

Youth Allstate 2/24-2/26. Register Now

The Colorado Youth Allstate tournament is the weekend of 2/24-2/26. Weigh-ins will be at the Douglas County Event Center Friday 2/24 from 4-8PM. The deadline for registration is 8PM on Sunday 2/19. UPDATE! The Youth Allstate committee has extended the registration date til Tuesday, February 21, 2012. The Youth Allstate tournament will be held at the Douglas County Event Center in Castle Rock on February 25-26, 2012. (remember, weigh-ins will be on Friday, February, 24, 2012 from 4pm-8pm only) If your wrestler is planning on wrestling at the Youth Allstate Tournament, please send coach Cortez an email confirming that he/she will be participating.

Also, pictures are in so make sure and see coach Cortez after practice if you haven’t picked up your pictures yet.

Youth Night at Chaparral High School

Calling all Chaparral Youth Wrestlers
Thursday, January 26, 2012 is ”Youth Night” for our Chaparral Youth Wrestling program at Chaparral High school. Our Chaparral high school team will be dualing against Regis high school. JV starting at 5:30pm. Varsity starting at 7pm. Please come show your support for our high school wrestlers by wearing your lime green team shirt and navy blue shorts. Our youth wrestlers will get to run out from the wolverine blow up, warm up, pair up and wrestle on the mat before our Chaparral high school varsity team duals against Regis. Wrestlers, please check in with coach Cortez when you arrive. Hope to see you all there!

Dual at Cherokee Trail changed to Wednesday night

The dual at Cherokee Trail has been changed to Wednesday, January 25 because the high school extended their freshmen orientation another day. The start time is still the same, 6pm-7:30pm. We will have practice tonight from 6pm-7:30pm. On Wednesday, January 25 we will not hold a practice. If you have any questions or concerns about this change please contact coach Cortez.
